Laura Caballero is a graphic design artist and helped finalize our logo design.

Not knowing exactly what I wanted to study
in college I have always had a passion for design
(craft making, painting, drawing etc.) So from
2003-2004, I attended Guilford Tech to receive
an associates in general studies and an associates
in graphic design along with some studio photography
experience. It’s weird because ever since I was a kid I
said I wanted to be a commercial artist. Well here I am
doing graphic design. Hmph…God you must have had
something to do with this! In 2007 I partnered with the
Moriah design team in designing the company logo and
assisting with other creative ideas for the company.
God, thank you for allowing me to help out with Moriah.
It’s truly an honor to get to work with John Marks team,
as they clearly have a vision for glorifying you in everything
they build. So getting back to the job experience thing,
I am currently working for a commercial printing company:
Central Printing Co. The Lord is teaching me lots of things
by working there and not just about printing! It’s cool
how God is taking my graphic design and combining it with
printing techniques! Oh and lets not forget the coffee shop!
I work there about 4 hours a week with the coffee man,
Mike Saintsing. He has taught me lots of things about
how to run a coffee shop, but the one thing I have learned
most there is how to make a good cup of coffee! Outside of
work and Moriah I have also started back with my church’s
digital arts team in hopes to gain more experience in design,
working with others and being sensitive to what God wants
us to design for our church.
